Oreo Poke Cake Recipe
Oreo Poke Cake Recipe. Decadently moist chocolatey fudge cake with a delicious creamy Oreo pudding filling. Topped with whip cream and Oreo cookies. This Oreo Poke Cake Recipe is a chocolate lovers dream.
This recipe is so simple and easy to make. Start off by baking your favorite brand of chocolate cake. For this recipe I used dark chocolate fudge cake mix. I mean why wouldn’t I reach for the box of cake mix with the most chocolate flavor. After all, I am a true chocolate lover. Anything chocolate and I’m on board.
Once the cake is finished baking set the chocolate delight aside and allow it to cool. After 20 minutes, it’s time to start poking holes into your delicious cake. I know, who wants to mess up a beautiful cake by poking holes into it. But trust me it’s going to be so well worth it. This will allow the creamy Oreo pudding filling to seep down into the cake, making your cake even more delicious.
It’s time to make our creamy Oreo pudding. Using 2 boxes of Oreo Pudding mix, adding 4 cups of milk. It’s time to put those muscles to work, by continuously stirring the mixture. The pudding mixture will start to thicken. Because we want to fill the holes we’ve poked in the cake with all of the creamy filling, it’s important not to over mix the pudding. Our goal is to allow the Oreo pudding to be slightly runny in consistency.
I just love instant pudding mix! It’s so much easier than having to make it from scratch. Lol. Start by adding
Pouring the Oreo Pudding mixture onto the cake and using the back of a spatula spread the pudding evenly over the cake. Once we’re finished with this step, it’s time to add the Cool Whip!! Adding Cool Whip and spreading evenly over Oreo Pudding layer.
Finally, add add you’re crumbled Oreos to the top of the cake. At this point, you’re going to be tempted to cut a big slice of cake. But be patient guys, we only have one more step. Placing the Oreo Pudding Poke into the refrigerator. Allowing the cake to set for about 20 minutes before slicing.
Yeah!!! It’s finally time to slice into our decadent Oreo Pudding Chocolate Fudge Cake!!!
