Instructions
Taking cleaned potatoes, peeling and slicing placing in a casserole or baking pan and setting aside.
Using a skillet add butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and combine.
Adding ground cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract and grated ginger and combining.
After all ingredients are combined, continue stirring mixture until you get a slow simmer and sauce thickens slightly.
Pouring mixture onto yams / potatoes and covering with aluminum foil.
Placing into preheated oven and allowing to bake for about 30 minutes on each side. For a total of about 1 hour or until desired tenderness is achieved.
