Ingredients
- 4 Catfish Fillets Cleaned
- Hot Sauce To coat
- 4 cups Cornmeal
- 3/4 cups Flour
- 3 Tbsp Garlic Powder
- 3 Tbsp Onion Powder
- 2 Tbsp Black Pepper
- 3 Tbsp Paprika
- 1- 3 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper Add to taste
- 2 Tbsp Creole Seasoning
- 2 Tbsp Lemon Pepper
- 1 Tbsp Chilli Powder Add to taste
- 1/2 -1 Tbsp Accent (Optional) Add To Taste
- Oil For Frying
Instructions
- Adding flour, garlic powder, onion powder, creole seasoning, paprika, lemon pepper, ground black pepper, cayenne pepper, chili powder, and accent to cornmeal.
- Combining flour and seasonings with cornmeal
- Taking cleaned fish fillets, adding hot sauce to both sides.
- Taking fish fillets and dredging with cornmeal flour mixture.
- Preheating oil to about 350F
- Adding dredged fillets to hot oil and frying until cooked to your desired preference.
Notes
This delicious Southern Fried Spicy Catfish can be served with your favorite dipping sauce. But for the full effect I recommend a spritz of lemon, Frank’s hot sauce, and zesty ranch sauce. The combination is just so rewarding!!!
