Ingredients

  • 2 cups of purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 stick unsalted room temperature butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 to 5 ripened bananas
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F
  • Using a 9 x 5 baking pan (optionally add non-stick cooking spray to the baking pan)
  • Cream sugar and butter in large bowl until light and fluffy. Adding one egg at a time and combining well after each addition.
  • Add bananas to zip lock bag, seal. And using fingers mash bananas. Or using a fork mash bananas.
  • Add the bananas to the mixture and using a hand held mixer, mix until combined.
  • Using a strainer placed over a large bowl add flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Sift ingredients.
  • After sifting is completed, add dry ingredients, about a cup at a time to wet ingredients.
  • Using mixer combine ingredients without over mixing.
  • Pour batter into pan. Bake for one hour hour to one hr. and 10 minutes.
  • Insert the toothpick or a bread knife into the center. If the toothpick or the bread knife comes out clean without residue, The bread is finished baking.
  • Set aside for 15 to 20 minutes before slicing and serving!!!
