Cooked On A Lightly Buttered Greased Skillet On Low Medium Heat Until Golden Brown On Both Sides. Finished Off With A Drizzle Of Maple Syrup With A Light Sprinkle Of Powdered Sugar. Serve Alone Or With A Side Of Bacon And Eggs And You Are Good To Go!!

Ingredients

  • Ingredients Needed
  • 8 Slices Texas Size Toast Or Brioche Bread
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Milk + 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream or 1 Cup Half & Half
  • 4 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • Preparation
  • Lightly whisk eggs. Add milk, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg and pure vanilla extract, continuously whisking until all ingredients are combined.
  • Placing bread into mixture, allow mixture to coat bread evenly.
  • Using pre-heated stovetop skillet, or electrical skillet, add non-stick cooking spray or a small amount of butter.
  • Place slices unto skillet and fry until golden brown, flip to cook on other side.
  • Serve with syrup and garnish with powdered sugar.
