Preparation
In a small sauce pot, add cranberry juice, granulated sugar cranberries cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon. Quickly stirring to combine the ingredients.
Allowing to come to a boil, add apples and let boil for about five minutes until apples soften.
Adding a couple tablespoons of liquid from the cranberry sauce, add to cornstarch. And using a spoon combine the cornstarch and cranberry liquid until well combined. Add slurry (cornstarch mixture) to the pot,
Quickly stirring the mixture and allowing to come a boil reduce for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, until the sauce thickens up.
Disclaimer: Sauce is very very hot be careful when transferring.
Remove from stove top, transferring to a bowl, allow the mixture to cool for about 10 to 15 minutes before placing it into the refrigerator.
Refrigerate for 2-3 hours to cool fully before serving.
