- 1/2 cup corn meal
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup oil
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/4 cups milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Whisk eggs and set aside.
- In a large bowl combine flour, corn meal, sugar, salt and baking powder.
- Taking whisked eggs, add oil, melted butter, honey, and milk. Combine ingredients.
- Taking wet ingredients add to dry ingredients. Combine all ingredients using a whisk.
- Add contents to nonstick baking pan.
- Place in oven, bake at 350°F for 35 minutes.
- Using a toothpick, Insert in the center of the cornbread, if toothpick comes out clean, remove cornbread and place on secure surface.
- Allow cornbread to cool for about five minutes before slicing cornbread.
