Instructions

  • Preparation Of Ground Turkey Curry Puff Patties
  • Start by slicing green onions, dice onions and rough chopped parsley.
  • Pre-heat skillet on medium-heat. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to skillet.
Once skillet has been preheated add onions, green onions to skillet using a spatula or spoon combine all the ingredients together.
  • Sauté onions until they become translucent in color, before adding curry powder to the herbs. Add half of a chicken bouillon cube to the mixture and combine all of the ingredients together.
  • When the curry powder is toasted or cooked all the way through add turkey ground meat to the mixture. Using a cooking spoon or ground meat chopper break the ground meat into small pieces.
  • Add dry seasoning to the ground turkey and continue combining all ingredients together.
Adding the fresh parsley to the mixture continue to incorporate all of the ingredients together.
  • Allow the meat to cook for about 10 minutes on medium high heat or until all of the meat is totally brown before turning stove top off.
Turn the stove top off and allowed meat to sit and cool for about 5 to 10 minutes before adding it to the puff pastry.
  • Puff Pastry Preparation
    Notes:
When it comes to dealing with puff pastry follow instructions on the back of the box. I find that when working with puff pastry, don't allow the puff pastry to thaw out too much, because it would leave the pastry very sticky and hard to work with.
Adding flour to a clean surface lay puff pastry flat onto floured surface. Using a rolling pin, roll all four sides of pastry out just a bit. Be sure to add flour to the rolling pin, if you find that the pastry is sticking to the pin.
  • Add a tablespoon of water to the egg. Whisk and combine both egg and water to create egg wash.
Using a pizza cutter cut the pastries into four squares. Taking the ground turkey curry mixture add about 2 tablespoons of meat into the center of each square. The amount of meat that you add to the puff pastry square is totally up to you. But keep in mind if you add too much meat, it may become a little bit more tedious to close the pastry.
Once the four squares are filled. Taking the egg wash place it on all four corners of the squares before closing it.
  • Sealing it together, once the pastries are folded, using a fork seal the edges together. Repeat the process for all four squares.
Place the pastries into your nonstick baking pan. Be sure to coat with egg wash. Coating with egg wash will give the pastries a nice golden brown color.
  • Place puff pastry into pre-heated 400°F oven. And allow to bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
Be mindful that everyone's oven is a little different so the baking time can be a little less or a little more. So check puff pastry until they become golden brown in color before removing it from the oven.
  • Set aside and allow to cool just a bit before digging in.
  • Enjoy!!!

You can also cut your squash in half, and put it in a casserole dish in the microwave to cut down on time. Put the squash in the dish face down, and add about an inch of water to the dish. It will only take about 10-15mins depending on microwave strength. Love this recipe, can’t wait to try!
