Blackened Salmon With A Brown Butter Lemon Sauce
Ingredients
- oil to coat fish and pan
- 1 lb salmon
- 1 tsp creole seasoning
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Lemon Brown Butter Sauce
- 1/2 stick stick butter
- 1/2 tbsp parsley dried
- 1 tbsp garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4-1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- fresh lemon juice to taste

- Instructions
- Add oil to both sides of the salmon.
- Combine salmon seasonings and season both sides of the salmon.
- Using a large skillet add oil. Allow the oil to become really hot.
- Place the salmon skin-side down in the pan and sear until around the edges become crispy. As the fish changes slightly in color from pink to opaque or white.
- Flip the fish over and allow the fish to cook. (pink to opaque or white)
- Do not allow the fish to overcook.
- Remove the fish and set aside on a plate.
- Using the same pan add the butter and stir the butter until it becomes slightly brown.
- Add minced garlic and combine.
- Add onion powder, cayenne powder, lemon wedges, and lemon juice.
- Add the salmon back to the pan and coat the salmon with the lemon brown butter sauce.
- Serve
