This 7up Pound Cake is deliciously moist and flavorful.
Equipment
- Large Bowl
- Mixer
- Bundt Pan
Ingredients
- 3 Cups All-Purpose Flour Sifted
- 2 – 3 Cups Sugar Granulated (Add sugar amount as desired)
- 5 Large Eggs
- 1 1/2 Or 3 Sticks Cups Butter Unsalted
- 1 Cup 7Up
- 1 Tbsp Pure Vanilla or Lemon Extract
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Lime / Lemon Zest
- Frosting
- 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Warm Water
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter Melted
Instructions
- Combining room temperature butter before adding sugar
- Slowly adding sugar and combining sugar and butter
- Adding one egg at a time and combining
- Adding extract vanilla or lemon extract
- Adding lemon zest and pinch of salt
- Adding sifted flour 1 cup at a time (Don't over mix)
- Adding 7Up and combining
- Adding cake batter to non stick baking pan
- Baking at 325 F for 1 hour and 15 minutes
- Allowing cake to cool before icing
- Icing Instructions
- Adding butter to microwave for 5 minutes.
- Adding melted butter to powdered sugar along with vanilla extract and water and combining.
- Placing in microwave for about 5 seconds to warm icing.
- Drizzle onto cake
